We were chuffed to get the news that another of our images has been chosen to appear in the prestigious Remembering Wildlife series of books this year. The series has to date raised more than $1 million for wildlife conservation and has helped protect some of the planet’s most endangered, and much-loved, wildlife species.

Our image of African wild dog pups reflected in a riverbed pool will be included in this year’s coffee table photography book: ‘Remembering African Wild Dogs’. Once again the title will feature pictures from some of the top wildlife photographers around the world, documenting one of Africa’s rarest, most thrilling and highly-social predators.

This book is the sixth in this ground-breaking series and we’re pleased to have had photographs featured in four of the titles to date; the others being ‘Remembering Elephants’, ‘Remembering Rhinos’ and last year’s book ‘Remembering Cheetahs’.

It’s a privilege to be a small part of this successful initiative which underlines how photography can make a difference. The Remembering Wildlife books and fund-raising model provide a rare opportunity for wildlife photographers from across the globe to come together to effect real change for the animals we are all passionate about – and lucky enough to see and photograph in the wild – but that face the risk of extinction.

All the profits from the campaign go directly into the vital projects we see first-hand when we’re away in Africa photographing and we know how crucial yet underfunded this grassroots conservation work can be.

If you want to support the project by ordering a book, the Kickstarter campaign is at Remembering African Wild Dogs until April 4.
